Cindy R. Slinger, 66 of Pierson, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, in Omaha, NE.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, IA.  Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m. with the family present Saturday at the Rohde Funeral Home.  Burial will be at a later date.

Cindy was born July 5, 1957, the daughter of LeRoy and Dorothy E. (Benson) Struve. Cindy grew up in Pierson, graduating from Kingsley-Pierson High School, Kingsley, IA in 1975. Following graduation, Cindy worked for MCI for many years. She and Tom Slinger were united in marriage on February 28, 1997.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Tom Slinger, daughter, Cassandra (Chris Peters) Steffens; five grandchildren, Kyler Steffens, Koby (Claire) Steffens, Ava; Kloey Steffens, Kaylee Peters, and Claire Peters; four step-children, Melissa (James) Nugent, Brooke, Aingeal, Caitlyn, and Jackson, Kirk Slinger, Justin (Dee) Slinger, Kaylee; and Eric Slinger; two brothers, Dan (Deb) Struve and Doyle (Dawn) Struve, and many nieces and nephews.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Dorothy Struve.
