David Miller Murdoch, age 90, of Mesa, Arizona and formerly of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday Sept. 6, 2025 at Kingsley Funeral Home & Monument in Kingsley, IA with Pastor Ken Kraft officiating. Visitation with family present will be 1:30 - 4p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Private burial will take place earlier on Saturday at St. Michael Cemetery in Kingsley with Rev. David was born Dec. 30, 1934 at Manlius, New York the son of Stanley & Ethel (Miller) Murdoch. He was raised and educated in Manlius, New York graduating from Manlius High School in 1952. He entered the US Army National Guard in 1952 and served until 1956. David attended Central City Business Institute in Syracuse, New York.
On Jan. 28, 1956 he married Patricia Whipple at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chittenango, New York. Dave Owned and operated his own Trucking Business most of his career. Later the couple drove truck together and have traveled to 48 of the 50 states. Over the years the couple lived in Chittenango, NY and Cortland, NY before finally settling in Kingsley, IA. About 8 years ago they decided to head towards warmer weather and moved to Mesa, AZ.
David was a member of First Baptist Church in Manlius, New York.
Survivors include his wife Patricia of Mesa, AZ; his children, Monica Eldridge (Tim Galles) of Kingsley, IA, David (Lore) Murdoch of Mesa, AZ, Marcia Flanagan (Sisto Tarquino) of Mesa, AZ, Dean (Laurie) Murdoch of Strasburg, CO; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley, Ethel & Elizabeth Murdoch; sister, Doris (Carey) Hatch; son-in-law, Randy Eldridge.
