Marcus, Iowa:    Doug A. Brownmiller, 63 of Marcus, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at his residence.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2022, at Faith Lutheran Church in Marcus, Iowa.  burial will be at Marcus-Amherst Cemetery in Marcus. Visitation will begin at noon, Monday at the church with the family being present during this time.

Doug was born September 30, 1958, Le Mars, IA, the son of LeRoy “Shorty” and Mary (Rassel)Brownmiller. He grew up in the Marcus area and worked driving a truck. He married Rachelle (Shelle)Johnson on December 22, 1984. Doug was very involved with trucking and spent many years driving his own truck. He was proud of Harley-Davidson motorcycle which he rode many miles with his family and friends, He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his son and fiancée, Lee and Jessica, four sisters, Sheila Letsche, Cindy (Dave)
Steineke, Debbie (Steve) Puhrmann and Glenda Mohn, nieces and nephews and cousins.

Doug was preceded in death by his daughter, Amber M. Brownmiller, parents, “Shorty” and Mary Brownmiller.
