Duane F. Kramer, age 82, of Kingsley died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at Cherokee Specialty Care in Cherokee, IA. 

Services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday February 26, 2025 at Kingsley Funeral Home and Monument/Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, IA, with Pastor Ken Kraft officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Kingsley Cemetery at a later date.

Duane was born Jan. 28, 1943, in Sioux City, the only son of Melvin and Viola (Schweitzberger) Kramer. He grew up and received his education in the Grand Meadow and Pierson area. He later moved to Kingsley with his parents. He spent many years working as a farm hand and handy man around the area. He moved to Cherokee Specialty Care in May of 2023. He made many friends there but always enjoyed weekly visits with his cousin Mark.

He loved his cats and collecting toy tractors. He had a kind heart and a soft spot for stray animals.

Duane is survived by many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Melvin in 1997 and Viola in 2005
