Eleanore Jessen, 82, of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.Eleanore Jessen was born June 3, 1934, Pierson, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph H. & Marjorie E. (Williams) DeLambert. She graduated from Pierson High School in 1951. In 1952 she and Fredrick Carl Jessen were united in marriage. They made their home in Pierson, Iowa where they raised their family. Eleanore worked at the Vannorsdal & Harvey Insurance as an administrative assistant until her retirement. Her husband, Fredrick passed awayin 1975, after his passing away Eleanore moved to Kingsley. She was member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Kingsley, Iowa.Survivors include her daughters, Roxanne Jessen of Omaha, NE, and Brenda Herthel of Kingsley, IA, grandchildren, Angela (Han) Huang, Bill (Alexis) Plendl, Nicholas Plendl, Meghan Plendl, Josh Bumsted, Amanda Harwood & Somer (Nathan) Bizzle. Great-grandchildren include, Frankie Harwood, Joseph and Landon Olney, Ryder Henning, Gavin and Aubrey Rose Bumsted, Sarah, Samuel and Zander Huang, Trinity and Liam Plendl, and Vincent Jentree. Also, surviving two sisters-in-law, Wilma Reinking, Kingsley, Iowa and Hattie Sabin, Manchester, Iowa.Eleanore was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fredrick, a son, Jim, parents-in-law, two sisters, Phyllis Harm and her husband, Kenny, Audrey DeLambert, a nephew, Nicholas Harm, step-mother, Gertrude DeLambert, mother-in-law, Edith Jessen.
