South Sioux City, NE:     James M. Jonas, 81 of Papillion, NE formerly of South Sioux City, NE passed Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

James Michael Jonas was born January 26, 1941 in Sioux City, IA the son of Gerald and Eunice (Kincaid) Jonas. Jim grew up in South Sioux City, NE. Despite his challenges, Jim was a person that most of us should aspire to be. He lived with no regrets, he was not afraid to show his affection for those he knew, and considered everyone his friend. Jim changed the lives of all he met with his pure joy for the simple things in life whether it was a cup of coffee, a visit with his sister, Shirley, or the exploits of his hero, John Wayne.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Shirley Henderson, Kingsley, IA, nieces, Lori (Rick) Cowan, Kelley Colfack and nephew, Jeff (Chrissie) Henderson, as well as great- nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a baby sister, and his brother-in-law, Gene Henderson.
