Joyce Conry

Joyce Bainbridge Waite Conry, age 93, of Kingsley, IA, died on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City, Iowa.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday Oct. 27, 2025 at Kingsley Funeral Home & Monument in Kingsley, IA with Pastor Nick Koenig officiating. Burial will be at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, IA. Visitation with family present will be Monday from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. www.kingsleyfh.com.

Joyce was born on March 11,1932, in Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Charlotte (Graham) Bainbridge. She attended Kingsley Public School and Wayne State College, where she earned her teaching degree. She taught school for several years and married Marvin Waite on June 10,1955. They made their home in Paullina, Iowa, until Marvin's death in 1990.

Joyce married Don Conry on November 26, 1994. They relocated from Paullina to Kingsley, where they lived until Don died on October 9, 2000.

She lived in the Landsmeer Ridge Assisted Living Center and the Prairie Ridge Care Center the final years of her life, where she made many new and close friends. Joyce and her family were very thankful for the wonderful care she received.

Joyce was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Paullina and the United Methodist Church in Kingsley. She was a lifetime member of Chapter GS P.E.O. She enjoyed coffee, playing cards, reading, baking, cooking, canning and playing games. She was an avid salt & pepper shaker collector.

Survivors include Joyce’s children, Kyle Waite and Betsy Garrison of Fayetteville, AK, Mark and Lisa Muilenburg of Orange City, IA, and Byron and Theresa Waite of Iowa City, IA, and her step-children Denny, Becky, Leanna, and Janette along with their families. She leaves behind many special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren.

In addition to her first husband Marvin Waite and her second husband Don Conry, Joyce was preceded in death by her sister Colleen Forbes, her brother Delmar Bainbridge, her brother David Bainbridge, and their spouses.

Casket bearers will be family and friends.
