Lisa LuAnn Derby was born October 26, 1959, Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Craig M. & Sue (Hogue) Dorr. She grew up in Marcus, Iowa, graduating from Marcus High School in 1978. After high school, Lisa pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Morningside College, graduating with summa cum laude honors in 1982. On May 16, 1981, she married Terry Derby in Marcus, Iowa. After their marriage, Lisa worked as a registered nurse for St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, she and Terry made their home in Kingsley, Iowa where they raised their family.Lisa was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux City, Iowa. Lisa is survived by husband, Terry of Kingsley, two sons, Justin Derby (Amy Dieren) of Sioux Falls, SD, and Joshua (Lacey) Derby of Kingsley, two grandchildren, her parents, Craig and Sue Dorr of Marcus, IA, two brothers, Bob (Patience) Dorr of Dakota Dunes, SD, and Tim (Pat) Dorr of Rockford, Illinois. Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents.
