Marsha Lynn Ray, 77, of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away on April 5, 2026, at her home.

Funeral service will be 4 p.m.. Friday, April 10, 2026 at Kingsley Funeral Home & Monument in Kingsley with Pastor Heath Hansen officiating. Burial will follow at Kingsley Cemetery. Marsha was born in Sioux City, IA, on October 17, 1948, to Robert “Rip” and Donna Jean (Frinkman) Bahrke. She was raised in Pierson, Iowa, and graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School in 1966.

On December 28, 1968, Marsha married Tom Ray at the Pierson Christian Church. The couple made their home in Kingsley, where they raised their family. Over the years, Marsha worked at Kingsley-Pierson School, Kingsley Pharmacy, and Indian Hills Medical Clinic.

She had a love for the soap opera, Days of Our Lives, and for tennis, especially watching Roger Federer. She cherished traveling to visit loved ones. These trips often involved a memorable stop in Las Vegas as well. Family was most important to her, Marsha found great joy in attending her children and grandchildren’s activities and events. Weekends at the farm with the Ray family and friends were some of her favorite times.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Tom; her children, Mike (Devi) Ray of Ida Grove, Iowa; Matt (Alisha Marquardt) Ray of Burlington, Washington; and Mindy (Cory) Dunne of Kingsley, Iowa; and her nine grandchildren, Colby (Michael) Eason and their children, Taytum, Jaxdan, and Rowan; Landon Ray; Allyson (Duke) Schaplow and their daughter, Ella; Anna Ray; Adria Ray; Amelia Ray; Camryn (Zane) Seuser and their daughters, Gloria and Violet; Hayden Dunne and fiancé, Austin Feddersen; and Liam Dunne.

She is also survived by her siblings, Pat (James) Paulette of Angleton, Texas, Ken (Joyce) Bahrke of Grimes, Iowa, Karl (Julie) Bahrke of Alton, Iowa, Barb (Donovan) Hansen of Smithland, Iowa and Bev (Clyde) Christiansen of Storm Lake, Iowa; her in-laws, Patty (Doyle) Parrish of Dakota City, Nebraska, Jackie Stanfield of Salix, Iowa, and Kevin Ray of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Donna Bahrke, and her in-laws, Dick and Faye Ray.
