Timothy Sudbeck

Timothy Patrick Sudbeck (68) of Kinglsey, IA passed away at 3:05 PM on Wednesday April 22 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Family will be conducting services for Timothy. Prayer Service will be held at the Kingsley Community Center at 3 PM on Friday May 8 with a meal at 5 PM and celebration of his extraordinary life following.

Tim was born on March 21, 1958, to Duane and Mary Margaret (McGowen) Sudbeck in Sioux City, IA.

He attended Bishop Heelan Catholic High School graduating in 1977, then attending Briar Cliff College graduating in 1981.

He married Cynthia Tapper on February 17, 1979.

He worked at UPS as a delivery driver for 35 years before retiring to manage and now own the UPS Store in Sioux City.

Tim was an active member of the Kingsley community coaching youth sports and being on the school board for 11 years, President for 8.

Tim was a Grand man. He will be remembered by some for his ear-piercing whistle, his quick wit, and the many sayings he would utter to lighten the mood or get his point across.

He will be remembered more so for being a devoted husband to Cindy for 47 years, a loving father to his 6 children, faithful grandfather to his 14 grandchildren ranging from 21 years to 14 months, a loving brother and uncle.

He is survived by his devoted wife Cindy, son Todd and his wife Emily and their 4 children Cale, Carson, Lillian, and Elsa from Hinton, IA, son Peter and his wife JoAnna and their 2 daughters Ava and Aubrey from Dallas, TX, daughter Nicole and her husband Orlando and their 2 daughters Evianna and Brisenya from Ft. Worth, TX, daughter Danielle and her husband Tyler and their 4 children Charlotte, Pierce, Jameson, and Weston from Spencer, IA, son Tyler and his wife Alyssa and their 2 sons Tyson and Tedy from Maxwell, IA, son Michael and his Wife Brittany from Reinbeck, IA. Also survived by 3 brothers and 9 sisters, numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Duane and Mary Margaret Sudbeck, father and mother-in-law Elmer and Norma Tapper, brothers John Sudbeck and Daniel Sudbeck, brother-in-law Chuck Miller, sister-in-law Pam Luckel, nephew Dustin Koopmans, niece Kelsey Tapper.
